The project JOSEFIN (Joint SME Finance for Innovation) is an initiative that supports the achievement of goals of the Lisbon-strategy in the Baltic Sea region. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) will be specifically supported with the release of their potentials and the development of international markets. The international project PlasTEP (Dissemination and fostering of plasma based technological innovation for environment protection in the BSR) has its origins in the project work of the network BalticNet-PlasmaTec. PlasTEP focuses on informing developers, potential users and experts from politics, economy and science about the contribution of the low temperature plasma physics for environment protection in the Baltic Sea region. One example of their work is the noticeable realisation of plasma-based cleaning technologies for exhaust gases and wastewater.
